Waterloo University is located in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. It is a public research university with a student population of over 40,000. Waterloo is well known for its co-operative education programs, which allow students to gain paid work experience in their field of study. Waterloo is also home to North America's largest co-operative education program, with over 19,000 students participating in 4,700 co-op placements each year.
