Gurniwaz’s Bio

My name is Gurniwaz Gagar and I am from Surrey, British Columbia. I am a community minded individual with a passion to promote inclusivity, diversity, and help build a better tomorrow for my community. Over the course of my high school career I have dedicated numerous hours towards helping my community and providing care for those in need. I am the Founder of Sunshine Society, a non profit organization with the purpose to raise awareness and tackle various humanitarian issues. My long term goal is to become a lawyer to further pursue my passion in providing justice and aid to my community, while giving those a voice who may not be able to have a voice themselves. I am passionate about supporting individuals from all walks of life to achieve what’s important in their life, and empower them to live better and healthier lives. My late older sister had a passion to serve her community and ensure each individual had the resources to be healthy and happy. I would like to continue her legacy and help as many lives as I possibly can. I will be attending Kwantlen Polytechnic University to study Sociology and Psychology. I would like to further pursue my education to study law and become a lawyer in the future.
