UBC’s General Admission Average

UBC’s General Admission Average is the average of your best four eligible Grade 12 university-level courses. Courses must meet UBC’s academic breadth and depth requirements to be eligible. The General Admission Average is used to see if you meet UBC’s admission requirements and to make placement decisions for some programs. UBC may use a higher average for selective programs. UBC will recalculate your General Admission Average if you repeat any of your four best courses. UBC will also recalculate your average if you take additional elective courses after you’ve already applied to UBC. However, students admitted usually enter with a 90-92% average out of high school.
