They take a holistic approach and have many areas of study, such as biomechanics, exercise physiology, gross anatomy, growth and development, psychology and ethics, and motor learning and control

Classes are held in modern, state-of-the-art facilities! They have a $33-million Physical Activity Complex (PAC) which contains a top-of-the-line fitness centre, leading-edge laboratory equipment, a triple gymnasium, a rock climbing wall, and so much more!

Believe it or not, the University of Saskatchewan’s kinesiology program’s background in accreditation helps it serve as the accrediting body for physical education and kinesiology programs at Canadian universities!

Practical learning!

When you enter your fourth-year classes, their kinesiology practicum programs are available as electives to students! With a wide array of choices, a few examples being physical rehabilitation and cardiac rehab for pre-diabetic (+ post diabetic and post-cardiac incident clients), they will fully cater to whatever you’re missing in preparation for the working life!

You need to have the appropriate admission average, a complete high school level standing, and the following (shown below) high school subjects or their equivalent from Grade 12 to gain admission.

University of Saskatchewan Kinesiology Tuition

Tuition is different depending on the number and type of classes you take in a year.

Fees are used to fund specific student benefits, including health, vision and dental coverage, a bus pass, recreational programs and fitness centre access.

Supplies and book costs will be highly dependent on the courses you choose. It’s recommended to have a budget between $1,500-$2,500 per year.

Note: Tuition, for most undergraduate programs, is added up by the cost of each class you registered in. You can use this tool and multiply it by the number of credit units to find out the total costs for the tuition

University of Saskatchewan Kinesiology Program Options

There are three-degree options:

Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology

A four-year degree that will give you a broad understanding of Kinesiology and prepare you for multiple careers

Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (Honours)

Students who have proven their academic ability will study at a more advanced level and become prepared for future graduate work in the field.

Combined Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Bachelor of Education

A five-year program is designed for students who intend to teach physical education at the secondary level. You will receive the benefits of being in the Colleges of Education and Kinesiology for all five years of the program.
