So you want to attend one of the University of Guelph’s six academic colleges: agriculture, veterinary medicine, physical and engineering science, biological science, arts, and social and applied human sciences. Before you can send your application, you first need to make sure you meet the general admission requirement. You can read all about it in our How to Get into Guelph Guide! How to Apply to Guelph
The application for the University of Guelph takes place in the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC). Here are the available forms for your application:
OUAC 101 Online Application Form
If you are an Ontario resident currently enrolled in an Ontario secondary school day program, you must apply using the OUAC 101 Online Application Form (details are available from your school Guidance Office).
OUAC 105 Online Application Form
Use the OUAC 105 Online Application Form if you are residing within Canada. International applicants who are currently studying in Canada on a Study Permit or other visa will also use this application.
The categories of applicants who will use the 105 Application Form include (but not limited to):
- all Ontario candidates (except those who are currently enrolled full-time in an Ontario secondary school day program)
- adult and mature students registered in night school, correspondence programs and special adult day school programs
- high school applicants from other provinces and territories
- all candidates from other Canadian provinces or territories or international students (including those who are attending secondary or post-secondary institutions)
- university and college transfer students

English Language Proficiency
Along with your OUAC application form, you will be required to present evidence of English proficiency if:
- your primary or first language is not English and
- you have had less than 4 years of full-time secondary school or post-secondary study, demonstrating satisfactory academic progress in an English-language school system.
Francophone Canadian citizens educated in Canada will not be required to meet the English-language proficiency requirement. Guelph will also consider you as having met the English-language proficiency requirement if you completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma where English was the language of instruction.
The tuition fees vary depending on your program. For context, a Bachelor of Arts degree amounts to $7,237 per year, excluding Meal Plans, Residence, Parking and the Co-op program. For the full list of undergraduate tuition and fees, check out the full list on the Guelph website!
ALL students are also required to make the minimum, compulsory, non-refundable Registration Deposit of $200.00 prior to the beginning of the Fall semester (please refer to the Student Financial Services website Tuition & Fees Announcement).
Payment of this deposit by the deadline date will ensure that the courses selected for the Fall term will be retained. There are no exemptions from the payment of this deposit irrespective of the current account balance or funding to come in the future.
Students who fail to submit the $200 Registration Deposit by the deadline may be removed from their courses.
