When does Trent University Send Acceptances? | Ultimate University Guide

So, you’ve applied to Trent University, and are now wondering “When does Trent University send acceptances?”. Keep reading for an answer!

Trent University is counted among the top 3.4% of universities across the globe. Besides, it is the numero uno undergraduate university in Ontario. Hence, it is neither too easy nor too difficult to get enrolled in this university. The Trent University acceptance rate is 33% with a student population of 11,748 Students in 2020/21.

After You’ve Applied to Trent University

Trent’s processing and decision making times vary depending on the month (normally, 2-4 weeks). For most of their programs, admission decisions are released on a rolling basis – it means that, as soon as they receive the required documentation to make an admission decision, it will be released and you will be notified.

Ontario High School Students

If you’re an Ontario Secondary Student wanting to start in September, here’s how offers will typically roll out:

Round 1 Offers – December

Round 2 Offers – Early February

Round 3 Offers – Mid-March

Round 4 Offers – Early May

(The above dates are for all programs except Nursing, Medical Professional Stream, Computing Systems Co-op, Criminology, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, and Bachelor of Education Programs.)

If you do not receive an offer in May, Trent will review your final grades in July and make an admission decision at that time.

All Other Applicants

Offers of Admission will be extended to all other qualified applicants on a rolling basis. Timing of offers is dependent on receipt of your required documentation including Nursing, Medical Professional Stream, Computing Systems Co-op and Education Programs

Round 1 Offers – Mid-March

Round 2 Offers – Early May

Receiving and Accepting Your Offer

If you have received an Offer of Admission from Trent University, it will appear on your OUAC and MyTrent accounts. You will also receive an Offer package in the mail.

Once your acceptance to Trent is official, you can immerse yourself in Trent’s outstanding community of scholars, dedicated to collaboration and interaction among students, professors, and across disciplines. As a student, you will expand your thinking, gain valuable skills, create lifelong friendships, and open the door to a world of possibility and the career of your dreams.

Follow these steps once you’ve received your officer of acceptance!

Accept your offer

Please review the details and conditions of your Offer of Admissions and accept your offer to Trent. If you applied to Trent through the OUAC please accept your offer on OUAC.  If you applied directly to Trent, please accept your offer by emailing [email protected] and indicating that you wish to accept your offer and the program that you wish to accept.

Sign On to MyTrent

If you haven’t already done so, make sure to create your MyTrent portal account.  You will need your personal email address and the Identification Number found in your offer email or letter in order to activate your account. There, you can access your records, track your status, and retrieve your Trent email when it is available. Sign up and sign on at  www.trentu.ca/mytrent.

Note: you’ll need to add “@trentu.ca” to the end of your username when logging in.

Know Your Deadlines

Explore Your Program

Discover your program options and the courses that interest you. Find out about your degree choices and course offerings at trentu.ca/calendar and click “Undergraduate Academic Calendar” or contact Trent by phone or email to arrange to speak directly with a faculty member from your area of interest.

Visit Trent

The best way for you to know your new school is to visit the campus. Book a campus tour or go to the open house events to explore the campus, and experience Trent inside and out.

Trent’s open house events take place several times a year: early November, mid-March and early May. Details are available on the Visit Trent webpage.

Can’t make it to an open house event? No problem. Trent offers campus tours six days a week at both campuses. You can book your tour online.

Can’t make it to Trent before you start school? No problem! Register for a Virtual Preview and/or Tour!

Explore Your Housing Options

At our Peterborough campus, all Trent students, in all years, whether you live in residence or not, are part of a college community. Trent’s five colleges are as unique as you are – each one offers different architectural styles, student spaces, residence room layouts and extracurricular activities. For Trent’s Durham campus, their new residence and academic building will enhance the outstanding student experience that Trent Durham is known for, providing new spaces and greater opportunities for the whole community to socialize, learn, study and engage in life on campus.
