Where is Wilfrid Laurier?

Waterloo Campus

The Waterloo campus is tucked into about one city block, so you’re steps away from classrooms, food and study spots. Laurier’s Waterloo campus is home to more than 16,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Waterloo campus is located in the thriving, culturally diverse community of Kitchener-Waterloo (KW), located one hour west of Toronto with a population of about 365,000. KW is part of Waterloo Region, which is home to Canada’s fastest-growing technology sector and is part of the Toronto-Waterloo Region Corridor, the second-largest technology cluster in North America (second only to California).

How to get there?

1. From Toronto:
   • Take the 401 west towards London.
   • Take exit 278 to Highway 8 west (towards Kitchener/Waterloo).
   • Take the Highway 7 East exit towards Guelph/Waterloo.
   • Follow Highway 7 east, which becomes Highway 85 north.
   • Take the second University Ave. exit (University Ave. W.).
   • Continue down University Ave. Laurier will be on your left-hand side at 75 University Ave. W.
2. From London
   • Take the 401 east towards Toronto.
   • Take exit 278B/Highway 8 west onto King St. E. towards Kitchener.
   • Head right onto Highway 8 west towards Kitchener.
   • Take the Highway 7 East exit towards Guelph/Waterloo.
   • Follow Highway 7 east, which becomes Highway 85 north.
   • Take the second University Ave. exit (University Ave. W.).
   • Continue down University Ave. Laurier will be on your left-hand side at 75 University Ave. W.

Brantford Campus

The Brantford campus is woven into the downtown core of Brantford, where historical buildings have been transformed into modern student spaces. The Brantford campus has transformed the downtown core of the City of Brantford into a thriving student community home to around 3,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Brantford is approximately a one-hour drive along the QEW and Hwy. 403 from Toronto and the Niagara region. The city has a population of over 97,000 and feels like a small-town community with big-city amenities.

How to get there?

1. From Toronto:
   • From Toronto, take QEW to 403 westbound (signs for Hamilton/Brantford).
   • Stay westbound on 403 for approximately 44 km.
   • From 403, take the Wayne Gretzky Parkway exit.
   • Turn left onto Wayne Gretzky Parkway.
   • From Wayne Gretzky Parkway, turn right onto Colborne St. (Brant County Highway 2/53).
   • Colborne St. becomes a one-way street, veer onto Dalhousie St. (also a one-way street).
   • From Dalhousie St., turn right onto George St. The Carnegie Building (73 George St.) will be on the right.
2. From London:
   • Merge onto 401 eastbound via the ramp to Toronto.
   • Take the 403 eastbound exit (signs for Hamilton/Niagara Falls/Brantford).
   • Stay eastbound on 403 for approximately 34 km.
   • From 403, take the Paris Rd. exit (County Rd. 2).
   • Merge onto Paris Rd. Stay on Paris Rd. for approximately 4 km.
   • Follow Paris Rd. until it merges onto Brant Ave.
   • Turn left onto West St. (from Brant Ave.).
   • Turn right onto Wellington St. (from West St.).
   • Turn right onto George St. The Carnegie Building (73 George St.) will be on the left.
