Queen’s Kinesiology: Overview
Written by Stephanie Pugh and Matthew Tran
Kinesiology is the science of human movement, physical activity, and sport, as well as its effects on health, performance, society, and quality of life.
Anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, sports medicine, psychology, sociology, and the humanities all contribute to the study of human movement in kinesiology. Queen's Kinesiology supports lifelong participation in physical activity and develops a diverse, holistic, and active lifestyle in support of the development of healthy individuals, groups, and society through its community outreach programmes.
