Residences at McGill

McGill residences are available for first-year undergraduate students. There are three types of residences, dormitory, modern dormitory, and apartment-style. Royal Victoria College is a popular traditional dormitory option, while others may prefer New Residence Hall or Solin Hall for more privacy and independence. These residences provide a safe and supportive environment that helps students transition to university life. The residences are located on campus, close to classrooms and other university amenities. First-year residents have the opportunity to live with other students from diverse backgrounds and make new friends. They also benefit from the support of Resident Advisors, who are upper-year students who are trained to provide advice and assistance. Residence life is an important part of the university experience, and McGill residences offer an exceptional living experience for first-year students.
