McMaster: The Ashbaugh Scholarship
McMaster offers a number of entrance scholarships for students entering their first year of study. These scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement. In addition to the entrance scholarships, McMaster also offers a number of need-based bursaries and loans to help students finance their education. However, a major entrance award that McMaster gives out to its star students is the McMaster Ashbaugh Scholarship. Keep reading to learn more about it!
McMaster Ashbaugh Scholarship
McMaster University's Ashbaugh Scholarship is awarded to high-achieving undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need. The scholarships are named for McMaster alumnus and former university president Lloyd S. Ashbaugh and are funded by an endowment established in his memory.
Recipients of the Ashbaugh Scholarship receive a total of $5,000, which can be used toward tuition, books, and other educational expenses.
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 90% and be in one of the eligible programs: Bachelor of Technology; Computer Science; Engineering; Integrated Biomedical Engineering & Health Sciences.
- They are looking for high academic performance, demonstrated leadership experience and attributes, and involvement in extra-curricular and/or volunteer activities in the community.
- You will also have to submit Letters of reference.
