SFU AMS: Overview

SFU AMS is a non-profit student society that represents over 38,000 students at Simon Fraser University. SFU AMS provides academic support, social programming raises awareness for student issues and advocates on behalf of SFU students. SFU AMS is governed by an elected Board of Directors, which consists of Student Representatives and alumni. They also have a number of Standing Committees, which provide opportunities for SFU students to get involved with the SFU AMS and work on initiatives that they are passionate about. Some of the Standing Committees include the Academic Affairs Committee, Social Issues Committee and the Student Life Committee.

The SFU AMS benefits are available to all undergraduate students and members. These benefits include discounts on textbooks, food, clothing, and other products. The AMS also offers a health and dental plan, which provides coverage for prescription drugs, vision care, and dental services. In addition, the AMS provides a number of services to help students transition into university life, including an orientation leader program and Peer Support Centre. The AMS also operates a number of businesses on campus, which provide employment opportunities for students. Finally, the AMS provides funding for a number of student clubs and organizations. These benefits provide students with the opportunity to save money, gain practical experience, and get involved in campus life. Consequently, the SFU AMS is an essential resource for all undergraduate students.

How to Be Apart of SFU AMS?

The Simon Fraser University Alma Mater Society is the official student society representing all undergraduate students at SFU. The AMS is run by a team of student volunteers who are democratically elected each year. There are many different ways to get involved with the AMS, from running for a position on the Board of Directors to joining one of the many clubs and committees. The best way to find out what opportunities are available is to attend one of the AMS Welcome Events, which take place at the beginning of each semester.
