SFU's Admission Average: Overview
Founded in 1965, Simon Fraser University is a public research university located in Burnaby, British Columbia. SFU has three campuses: the main campus on Burnaby Mountain, the Harbour Centre campus in downtown Vancouver, and the SFU Surrey campus. SFU has eight academic faculties: Arts and Social Sciences, Business Administration, Education, Environment, Health Sciences, Science, SFU Vancouver, and Communication, Art and Technology.
SFU offers bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, and doctorates in a wide variety of disciplines. SFU is also home to Canada's largest cooperative education program. SFU's Overall Admission Average
SFU's Overall Admission Average (OAA) is the average of your four best Grade 12 University Preparation or equivalent courses. The OAA calculation includes all courses attempted, regardless of when they were completed. Your OAA will be calculated when they receive and review your complete transcripts from all previous secondary and post-secondary studies. They use your OAA, along with other information submitted as part of your application, to determine whether you meet SFU's admission requirements and, if so, where you fit within the competitive range for the program to which you've applied. Overall, their admission average ranges from 80-90%, depending on the program.
What Programs at SFU Have the Highest Admission Averages?
The university's computer science program has an admission average of 88%. SFU's Business program has an admission average of 85%. SFU's Engineering program has an admission average of 80%. SFU's Arts program has an admission average of 78%. SFU's Science program has an admission average of 76%. As you can see, the programs at SFU with the highest admission averages are Computer Science, Business, and Engineering programs.
