SFU Engineering: Overview

Engineering scientists solve problems with elegant and advanced solutions. It is one of the careers that can make a lasting difference in the world; also considered to be the pioneering edge of the future—one of the fastest-growing career fields. Simon Fraser University’s Engineering Science program focuses on five high technology engineerings areas including Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Engineering Physics, Electronics, and Biomedical Engineering.
Why should I study at SFU Engineering?
Simon Fraser University operates at the frontiers of technological development! Their progressive Bachelor of Applied Science degree helps students gain an understanding of the options available to them when they reach their 3rd year! In addition to the five options above, there is a minor one available, which is the Computer and Electronics Design.

SFU Engineering Requirements
To apply for admission, you must meet the general and program-specific requirements:
- English language requirement
- Quantitative and analytical skills requirement
- A minimum of five approved Grade 12 courses for your program, including English Studies 12 (min 70%) or equivalent. Note: Approved courses may vary per program and province. A separate requirement is also provided for students in the International Baccalaureate and Advanced Placement program.
- Proof of name
- Proof of residency and citizenship
- Proof of English language skill
- Proof of quantitative and analytical skills
