Western's Overall Admission Average
Western's Admission Average refers to the average high school marks of all Western undergraduate applicants. The Overall Admission Average is calculated using five academic subjects - English, Mathematics, a Language, a Social Science/Humanities course, and a Lab Science. Western does not release its Overall Admission Average publicly, but it is available on OMSAS (Ontario Medical School Application Service). While they do not display it, the estimated average is approximately 91%. The Western's Admission page states that their "goal is not to fill every seat in every class with students who have the highest admission averages," Western also offers two types of conditional admission based on your GPA. They consider more than just your academic grades when making decisions about your application. For example, they also look at leadership experience, research experience, community involvement, and extra-curricular activities. So even if you don't have the highest GPA, don't worry! There are still plenty of other ways to stand out in your application to Western.
